Raising A Reader: Laying the Foundation for Literacy

One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will provide parents an overview of brain development and brain anatomy, and introduce parents to important child developmental milestones.  Parents will also learn how to read and with their children at varying ages.  This workshop is designed for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing, and dancing.  Each child will receive a new book to take home. www.swhd.org.  Admission into the Museum is FREE when you pre-register for this program.  Space is limited.
