Thursday December 19

10:00 AM  –  11:30 AM

Based on the trainings the Arizona Department of Health Services is providing to school districts across the state, this workshop examines the latest bullying statistics, unpacks cyberbullying, explains the relationship between childhood trauma and bullying, and provides tips and techniques parents/professionals can use to help their schools, communities, and their own children respond to bullying. Spoiler alert: there is hope!

Program presenter, R. Bradley Snyder, is Executive Director of the Dion Initiative for Child Well-Being and Bullying Prevention and Chair of the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium.  Brad has spent decades managing projects targeting children for clients from Cartoon Network to the U.S. Justice Department. Experts describe Brad’s book, The 5 Simple Truths of Raising Kids, as an “urgent ‘must-read.’” Titles from his What Every Child Needs To Know series have received numerous accolades, including “staff pick” at MoMA.
