Did you know that block play contributes to a child's development in a big way? Through playing in our BlockMania exhibit, children can broaden their imagination, explore self-expression, experiment with problem-solving, and much more! We're always keeping things fresh in BlockMania by rotating the block types every few weeks. We even have small wooden cubes with different languages and pictures that get traded out every month!

This giant "Water Strider" sculpture by artist Jeff Zischke (@zischkegallery) has found a new home on the side of our building just above the Admissions entrance! The Water Strider is one of 8 oversized insects commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art to serve as a temporary public art installation in the canal at the Waterfront in Scottsdale, Arizona. The units are approximately 12' long, 6' tall, and 10' wide, made of a hollow fiberglass shell with aluminum legs, and emit intensely saturated colors at night with controllable RGB LED lights!
